NOTICE OF CITY OF DONALD PUBLIC HEARINGS Notice is hereby given that the City of Donald will hold public hearings to consider a small package of amendments to the Donald Development Ordinance (DDO), as described below. On Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 6:45pm the City of Donald Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed Legislative Amendment package. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council. On Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 6:45pm the City of Donald City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the same proposed Legislative Amendment package, as referenced above and described below. The City Council will make the final decision on this proposal. Public meetings are held remotely by Webex online phone and video conference platform due to COVID-19 public health precautions. All meeting links and call-in numbers will be posted on the City website’s Planning Commission or City Council pages: FILE NO.: LA-2021-01. PROPOSAL: The City of Donald has initiated a small package of amendments to the Donald Development Ordinance. No properties are proposed to be rezoned. Minor amendments are proposed to the following code sections: Update definitions to match State. Reduce the amount of civic space required of new developments in the DMU zone. Remove marijuana retail/dispensary from the DMU zone, keep in C zone. Confirm sidewalks are required for all new dwelling units. Reduce fence height along Main Street. Minor revision to Residential Design Standards. Reduce Conditional Use Permit requirement for food carts. Public notices to be posted to property. And other miscellaneous amendments for clarity and efficiency. Pursuant to the DDO, Legislative Amendments are a Type IV action. Type IV actions are processed pursuant to the DDO Section 3.203.02, and noticed pursuant to the provisions of Section 3.204.03. The public hearings on this matter will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the DDO Sections 3.205 and 3.206. The full package of proposed amendments and staff report will be available on the City of Donald website at least one week prior to the public hearings, and by request to City Hall. Anyone desiring to speak for or against the proposed amendments may do so during the public hearings. Anyone wishing to present written testimony on the proposed action may do so in writing, received prior to the public hearings.
