City’s intent to revise the floodway of Willow Creek, generally within the City of Madras limits.

PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Madras, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City’s intent to revise the floodway of Willow Creek, generally within the City of Madras limits. Jefferson County is also aware and supportive of the proposed floodway and floodplain revision. Specifically, the floodway shall be revised from a point 1,312 feet downstream of the SW Canyon Road Culvert along Willow Creek to a point 2,017 feet upstream of the existing J Street Bridge. As a result of the floodway revision, the floodway shall widen with a maximum widening of 95 feet at a point approximately 58 feet downstream of J-Street bridge and narrow with a maximum narrowing of 65 feet at a point approximately 120 feet upstream of J-Street bridge. In addition, the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations and/or the 1% annual chance floodplain shall be revised downstream of the J-Street bridge. As a result of the revision, the 1% annual chance floodplain shall narrow upstream of the J-Street bridge and narrow downstream of the J-Street bridge within the area of revision.
