CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE NO.: CDCA-001-21 OMNIBUS 6 AMENDMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning Commission, through a Zoom virtual meeting at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider a package of proposed text amendments to Community Development Code (CDC), Ordinance No. 6094. Omnibus amendments address minor changes to improve readability, clarify language, and comply with recent changes to state and regional laws. The proposed text amendments would affect the following subchapters of the CDC: 12.10 Use Categories; 12.21 Single Family Residential Zones; 12.22 Multi-Family Residential Zones; 12.23 Commercial Zones; 12.24 Mixed-Use And Urban Center Zones; 12.25 Industrial Zones; 12.26 Institutional and Open Space Zones; 12.50 Development and Design Standards; 12.62 Orenco Plan District; 12.65 South Hillsboro Plan District; 12.70 Procedures; and 12.80 Applications. The procedures by which text amendments are processed can be found in CDC Section 12.70.060, and the approval criteria can be found in Section 12.80.140. The Community Development Code may also be viewed online at http://www.hillsboro- oregon.gov/CommunityDevelopmentCode, or in the Planning Department office. Written Testimony: If you would like to submit written testimony ahead of the public hearing please send an email to Aubrey Minear at aubrey.minear@hillsboro-oregon.gov with that written testimony. Testimony received prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the public hearing will be posted to the agenda packet online. Testimony received after 8:00 a.m. on the day of the hearing will be forwarded to the Planning Commission either before or during the meeting. Please note that the Planning Commission may have limited time to review any written testimony received after 8:00 a.m. on the day of the public hearing. Teleconference Testimony: You may pre-register to speak during the public hearing by providing your name, phone number, address, and Zoom name to Aubrey Minear via email at aubrey.minear@hillsboro-oregon.gov prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the hearing. Your information will not be shared at the meeting. If you choose to provide your information, the City will be able to mail you a copy of the notice of action once the hearing is closed and a recommendation to City Council has been rendered. If you are not able to pre-register for the hearing, you may be given an opportunity to speak at the hearing. At the hearing, the Commission may read down the list of those who pre-registered, and may then ask for any other testimony from others who have not preregistered. If you have not pre-registered, please use the raise your hand feature in Zoom. You will have three minutes to speak once called upon. Members of the public using Zoom will not be able to share their screen during the meeting; presentation materials should be submitted as written testimony by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the public hearing. Testimony should avoid repetition of issues, and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria listed above. Telephone conversations cannot be accepted as testimony.
