NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL (Legislative – LOC 50.07.003.16.e) Hearing Date, Time, and Location: The Lake Oswego City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, Third Floor, 380 A Avenue, Lake Oswego, OR, 97034, to consider the proposed amendments. COVID-19: The health, safety, and wellness of our community and staff continues to be the City’s top priority. Face coverings are required for attending in-person meetings as well as maintaining social distance. This meeting will be conducted in-person at City Hall and an option for participating remotely via Zoom is also available. File Numbers: LU 21-0068 (Ordinance 2879) Applicant: City of Lake Oswego Nature of Application and Proposed Legislative Amendments: Proposed amendments are to Lake Oswego Code (LOC) 50.03.005.4 to extend the allowance of temporary shelters for businesses in commercial and industrial zones limited to the months of October through May and not more than 180 consecutive days during years when Lake Oswego businesses are subject to an emergency or temporary State regulation related to the COVID 19 pandemic. The Planning Commission considered the proposed amendments on November 8, 2021. The title of the ordinance is as follows: Ordinance 2879 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Lake Oswego amending the Community Development Code (LOC CHAPTER 50) to amend the existing exception to the 14-day restriction on temporary shelters for certain commercial uses during the COVID-19 pandemic (LU 21-0068).
