NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Public Hearings will be held before the Cornelius Planning Commission on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 7:00 PM and the Cornelius City Council on Monday, February 7, 2022, online via the Zoom meeting platform at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88657023542. Participants may also join by phone by calling 1- (253) 215-8782 and using Meeting ID: 886 5702 3542, to consider the following: Request: A Type III Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map Amendment (CPA-02-21 & ZC-01-21) application to change the Comprehensive Plan designation from Industrial (I) to Medium Density Residential (MDR) and the Zoning Map from a General Industrial (M-1) to a Manufactured Home Park (MHP) zone. At the times and places listed above all persons will be given an opportunity to give testimony either for or against the proposal. Testimony may be either oral or written and must be relevant to the listed criteria, on which the proposal will be evaluated. At the respective public hearings, the Planning Commission Chair and Mayor opens the public hearing, staff presents a staff report, the applicant presents their proposal, interested parties speak for or against the proposal or ask questions, Commissioners and Councilors ask questions, the applicant rebuts testimony, staff provides closing remarks, and the Chair/Mayor closes the public hearing. In order for an issue to be considered for appeal, it must be raised before the close of the record of the public hearings. Such issues must be raised with sufficient specificity so as to afford the hearing body and the parties an adequate opportunity to respond to each issue. If no continuance is granted at the hearing, any participant in the hearing may request the record remain open for at least seven days after the hearing.
