PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF MADRAS BUDGET COMMITTEE VACANCIES FY 2022-23 THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET INVOLVED IN YOUR CITY: The City of Madras is seeking people interested in the Budget Committee for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. You do not have to be an accountant to be part of the Committee, you just have to care about your City, reside in the City limits, be over 18 years of age and be a registered voter. The Budget Committee reviews the proposed operating and capital budget each fiscal year and makes a recommendation on the budget to the City Council for final enactment. The Committee makes recommendations to the City Council on the annual budget, the Financial Management Goals and Policies, and on specific issues as directed by the Council. Budget Committee may also meet to discuss updates to long-range financial plans and policies. The Committee meets in the months of April-June.
