PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF MADRAS MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL POSITIONS NOVEMBER 2022 ELECTION Beginning June 1, 2022, the City of Madras will be accepting Candidate Filing forms for the office of Mayor and three (3) City Council positions. The election for these positions will be held in Jefferson County, Oregon on November 8, 2022. Serving on the Madras City Council may be right for you if: — You’re interested in learning more about how your City functions and collaborating with your community to help create a positive environment for all citizens; — You’re looking for a way to use your knowledge and experience to help make Madras a better place to live; and — Your schedule is somewhat flexible and you’re able to volunteer approximately eight hours per month. To serve, you are required to be a: — Jefferson County registered voter; and — Resident within the city limits of Madras since at least November 7, 2021.
