NOTICE OF JEFFERSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION HEARINGS CASEFILES 22-CU-01, 22-CU-02 AND 22-MOD-01 The Jefferson County Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing to take public testimony on: CASEFILE 22-CU-01 – An application for a cemetery in conjunction with the church at 2100 SW Culver Hwy. The proposal is on the 10-acre Palisades Mennonite Church parcel further identified as T11E, R13S, Section 22, Tax Lot 506 and owned by Palisades Mennonite Church. CASEFILE 22-CU-02 – An application for a 19.5 MW photovoltaic solar generating facility adjacent to a previously approved facility. The site is located on SW Monroe Ln in Culver on an approximate 250-acre area that is zoned Rangeland (RL) and operated by Jefferson Solar LLC. CASEFILE 22-MOD-01 – An application to modify a previous approval (20-CU-01) for a photovoltaic solar generating facility on SW Norris Ln in Culver on a parcel zoned Rangeland (RL) and operated by Jefferson Solar LLC. The hearings will be held on July 14, 2022 at 5:30 pm in the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners meeting room located at 66 SE D Street, Madras, OR. Any written testimony should be submitted to the Community Development Department, 85 SE D Street, Madras, Oregon, 97741, or may be submitted at the public hearing. The failure to raise an issue by the close of the record at or following the final evidentiary hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
