Total acreage to be annexed is 15.5 acres. The City of Madras has received an application to annex the above listed properties into the Madras city limits and zone the properties Single Family Residential (R-1) as identified on the City of Madras Urban Area Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map. Per Madras Municipal Code (MMC) 18.80, notice of this public hearing must be given in advance of the meeting. The decision to annex and zone all or a portion of the aforementioned properties will be based on the following criteria: 1) ORS Chapter 222; 2) the City of Madras Comprehensive Plan; and 3) Chapters 18.15-Zoning and 18.70-Annexation of the City of Madras Development Code. The Madras Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for the proposal on August 3, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall located at 125 SW E Street. The Madras City Council will conduct a public hearing for the proposal on August 23, 2022 at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall located at 125 SW E Street. Both of these meetings will have the ability to attend via Zoom and in person. Please contact City staff for additional details about how to participate in this meeting and public hearing.
