The meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. utilizing Zoom webinar. The City Council will consider the following: Review and adoption of a fifty-one-cent ($0.51) increase in the Water Consumption Rate beginning October 1, 2022. The consumption rate will increase from the current $4.89 per CCF (100 cubic feet of water which is equivalent to 748 gallons) to $5.40 per CCF. The effect of the increase on single-family residence that uses 8 CCF of water per month would be $4.08 a month or $48.96 per year. Review and adoption of an 8.11% increase in the Fixed Water Base (Meter) Charge beginning October 1, 2022. The Fixed Water Base rate for the average 3/4 or 5/8 inch residential meter will increase $1.50 per month, from $18.50 per month to $20.00 per month, which is equivalent to an increase of $18.00 per year. All other meter sizes will increase proportionately. The revenues from the rate increase will be used for water system repair and maintenance, additional drinking water supply and storage facilities, and improving the resiliency of the City’s water system.
