NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL Hearing Date, Time, and Location: The Lake Oswego City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, Third Floor, 380 A Avenue, Lake Oswego, OR, 97034, to consider proposed Ordinance 2901. This meeting will be conducted in-person at City Hall and an option for participating remotely via Zoom is also available. The meeting will be livestreamed on the City’s YouTube Channel and at https://www.ci.oswego.or.us/ as well as broadcast live on Tualatin Valley Community TV; check their website for details. File Number: Ordinance 2901, Solid Waste Franchise Agreement Summary of Proposed Ordinance: Proposed Ordinance 2901 would replace Lake Oswego Ordinance 2600, Solid Waste Collection Services Ordinance, to renew the City’s franchise agreement with Republic Services for solid waste collection services in Lake Oswego. City Council held a study session on the franchise reauthorization on June 21, 2022. The staff report and recording of the study session can be found on the City’s website at: https://www.ci.oswego.or.us/citycouncil/city-council -meeting-395?date=0 The title of the ordinance that will be considered at the public hearing is as follows: Ordinance 2901 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE OSWEGO RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SANITATION OF THE CITY OF LAKE OSWEGO; PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION OF A SYSTEM OF SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING SERVICES; AWARDING AN EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE FOR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES TO ROSSMAN SANITARY SERVICE INC., DOING BUSINESS AS ALLIED WASTE OF LAKE OSWEGO; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE RULES; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES.
