CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS CASE FILE NO. AN-001-22 WEST UNION VILLAGE SQUARE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that A public hearing will be held before the City Council at or shortly after 7:00 pm, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. This meeting will be held in person in the Conference Room 113B located in the Civic Center at 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, AND remotely via Zoom. Instructions on how to join the Zoom meeting are listed below. At this hearing, the City council will consider a request for annexation of one property approximately 4.88 acres in size into the City limits of Hillsboro. The purpose for annexation is to enable connection to the Hillsboro public sewer system. Annexation of the properties would also include its withdrawal from the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue Service District, and Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District, and annexation to the Clean Water Services District. The property is located within the Tualatin Valley Water District and will remain within the district. Upon receiving Annexation approval, the City will initiate amendments to apply new designations for the property to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan Map and official Zoning Map, which will be noticed separately. The subject property is located at 6491 NW Cornelius Pass Road and can be specifically identified as Tax Lot 400 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1N2-14D and is generally located north and east of NW West Union Road, south of SE NW Old Pass Road, and west of NW Cornelius Pass Road. The property owner and applicant are Keith and Robin Gordon, dba Robin Gordon, LLC. The applicable criteria for an annexation are listed in Metro Code Chapters 3.09.045 and 3.09.050 and Section 12.80.010 of the CDC. The CDC may be viewed online at www.hillsboro-oregon.gov/community development code or in the Planning Division office. The complete application, staff report, and responses to all related criteria for an Annexation application will be available at https://hillsboro-oregon.civicweb.net/Portal/ by Thursday, October 13, 2022. Prior to being posted on the City’s website, the City Council staff report for this Annexation will be available after 4:00 pm on Monday, October 3, 2022. When asked for comment, please state your name and your general area of residence when speaking to the City Council. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria listed above. ORS 197.797 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open, or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant. If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit a written statement to the Planning Director at the address shown on the first page of this notice, on or before the hearing date. Telephone conversations cannot be accepted as testimony. Please reference the Case File No. on all written testimony. Pursuant to Oregon Revised Statues (ORS) 197.797, failure to raise an issue at the final evidentiary hearing, or by close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
