PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Court will hold a Public Hearing at 9:00 a.m. November 2 & December 7, 2022 in the Crook County Meeting Room, 320 NE Court Street, Prineville, Oregon, to consider the following: Record Number: 217-22-000153-PLNG, a hearing before the Crook County Court for a comprehensive plan amendment to operate a commercial energy facility, submitted by Applicant: Brian Walsh, Property Owners: Kevin Spencer, Steve and Stephanie Cristensen, Bill Phillips and Doug McGee, and the Oregon Department of State Lands; map/tax lots: 1615000002000, 1615000000800, 1615000002300, 1615000002800, 1615000002301, 1615000002400. The request is for a modification to the approved 320 acre Empire Solar Facility (216-16-000373-PLNG), to expand the footprint from 528 acres to 1,553 acres, increasing generating capacity from 56 megawatts to 103 megawatts, and add an optional 103 megawatt battery energy storage system. The hearing is subject to review under Crook County Code, Title 18, Chapter 16, Chapter 160, Chapter 161, Crook County Comprehensive Plan, Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes. A notice of public hearing and location maps are being mailed to all affected property owners, and to the appropriate entities and public agencies at least 10 days prior to the County Court hearing. The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code 18.172.
