METRO METRO CENTRAL TRANSFER STATION SAFE ROOF ACCESS CMGC Proposals due: April 6, 2023 @ 2:00 pm REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP 4146 Metro is inviting proposals for Construction Manager/General Contractor Services for the Safe Roof Access Project at Metro Central Transfer Station Electronic proposals only are due no later than April 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm to http://bidlocker.us/a/oregonmetro/BidLocker. Pre-Proposal Conference A voluntary pre-proposal conference will be held at Metro Central Transfer Station located at 6161 NW 61st, Portland OR 97209 on March 21, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. Interested proposers and subcontractors are encouraged to attend the conference in order to gain information about the RFP requirements. Proposers should bring personal PPE, including hard hats, safety vests and close toed shoes. Metro is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide construction management and general contracting services in two phases: preconstruction phase services and construction phase services, and as described in the solicitation document. The Metro Central Transfer Station roof area is approximately 350,000 sq. ft. all built before 1990. The purpose of this project is to update current roof safety features by constructing means to safely access and perform work on the roof space using OSHA compliant fall prevention devices. This procurement is for a community benefit program as defined in ORS 279C.300-470 and the selected contractor shall acquire rights and responsibilities under a Regional Workforce Equity Agreement. This agreement and details of the program are included in the solicitation document. All vendors submitting an offer for public improvements over $50,000 certify that they will pay and comply with the minimum prevailing wage requirements of ORS 279C.800-279C.870 and if applicable 40 U.S.C.276a. Metro may accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, or waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights if such action is deemed in the public interest.
