JEFFERSON COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETINGS A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Jefferson County Library District, Jefferson County, State of Oregon, on the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, will be held at the JC-Madras Chamber of Commerce offices located at 274 SW 4th Street, Madras, Oregon 97741. The first meeting will occur on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 6:00 pm; if necessary, a second meeting will occur on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 6:00 pm. The purpose of the meetings is to receive the budget message and to receive comments from the public on the budget. These are public meetings where deliberations of the Budget Committee will take place. People may appear virtually or in person at the meeting and comment on the proposed budget. A copy of the proposed 2023-2024 budget documents may be inspected after Friday, May 12, 2023, at 5:00 pm at the Library, 241 SE 7th Street, Madras, Oregon 97741, from 10 am – 6:00 pm Monday-Thursday or 10 am – 3 pm on Fridays, or on the library’s web site (jcld.org).
