IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF MULTNOMAH Case No. 19CV42532 SUMMONS BY PUBLICATION OREGON MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY, Plaintiff vs. AVERY WALKER STEEN, KIEFER AREN WILLIAMS, SARAH JENNIFER GRAY and MADISON LOUISE TINDLE, Defendants TO: AVERY WALKER STEEN, of the above-named Defendants YOU ARE HEREBY REQUIRED to appear and defend the complaint filed against you in the above-entitled cause within 30 days from the date of first publication of this summons, which is June 6, 2023, and if you fail to do so, for want thereof, Plaintiff will apply to the court for relief listed herein. This action is for negligence. On or about November 23, 2017, the residence located at 5028 NE 11th Avenue, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, which was leased by Defendants Steen and Williams, and wherein Defendants Gray and Tindle were invitees of Steen and Williams, was caused to ignite in fire, as a result of negligence of the above-named Defendants. The fire resulted in damage to said residence in the sum of $228,375.00, which Plaintiff has paid out to its named insured. Plaintiff seeks judgement against each Defendant, jointly and severally, for the sum of $228,375.00, together with Plaintiff’s costs and disbursements incurred herein, and for such other relief as the Court deems just and equitable.
