NOTICE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ ELECTION The Central Oregon Irrigation District will be accepting nominations for four positions on its Board of Directors: — Division 1 from the Terrebonne Area — Division 2 from the Redmond Area — Division 3 from the Bend Area — Division 5 from the Powell Butte Area The terms for Division 2 and 3 will be two years, to fill the remainder of the three-year terms due to vacancy beginning on January 1st, 2024. The terms for Division 1 and 5 will be three years beginning on January 1, 2024. Qualifications are as follows: must be at least 18 years of age, must be the owner of property within the Division, must live within the State of Oregon and must submit a petition signed by 10 qualified voters within the Division to the District office no later than 4:00 P.M. on October 10, 2023. Nomination petitions can be obtained from the District office. If only one petition is received for a Division, the petitioner will be certified as having been nominated and elected for that Division. The receipt of two or more petitions for the Division will require an official election to be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. The election will be a vote-by-mail.
