PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, public hearings are being to consider the following: Record Numbers: 217-23-001641-PLNG-01 (David) and 217-23-001641-PLNG-02 (Kentner). Appeals to the Crook County Planning Commission by James David and Daniel Kentner of an administrative approval of a partition (217-23-001641-PLNG), property owner: Dean Barnhouse; map/tax lot: 161720A002600 and 161720B008600. The Applicant has proposed to divide the 95.47-acre property, composed of two tax lots, into three parcels. Proposed Parcel 1 will be 57.77 acres, proposed Parcel 2 will be 31.20 acres and proposed Parcel 3 will be 6.50 acres. The appellants grounds for appeal are regarding access, water, easements, and other requirements relative to the protection of adjoining and area land uses. The appeal is subject to review under Crook County Code, Title 18 – Chapter 172, Title 17, Subdivisions – Chapter 17.24 Land Partitioning, Title 18, Zoning – Chapter 18.40 Recreation Residential Mobile, Crook County Comprehensive Plan, Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes. Written testimony or comments may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department by email at plan@crookcountyor.gov and may also be submitted in person or by mail to 300 NE 3rd St, Room 12, Prineville, OR 97754. Written testimony received by Friday, December 29, 2023, will be considered by staff prior to the issuance of the staff report and recommendation on this application. However, written testimony will continue to be accepted until the records close, which may occur as soon as the conclusion of the public hearing. Failure to raise an issue in the hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes an appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue. A copy of the application, all documents, and evidence relied upon by the applicant along with the applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost and copies will be provided at reasonable cost in accordance with the County’s fee schedule.
