CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE HCP-003-22 HILLSBORO ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES ANALYSIS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission at or shortly after 6:00 pm, at their regular meeting on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. This meeting will be held in person in Conference Room 113 B/C in the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, AND remotely via Zoom. Instructions on how to join the Zoom virtual meeting are listed at the bottom of this notice. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider proposed text amendments to Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan. Requested Amendments: Comprehensive Plan Text Change – Hillsboro is submitting our 2021 Economic Opportunities Analysis (EOA). This EOA document projects the land needed to accommodate the future employment growth in Hillsboro for the 20-year planning horizon of 2021 to 2041. The 2021 EOA will update the City’s previously acknowledged 2016 EOA, which was developed in support of the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan. This case was remanded by the Oregon Department of Land Use Appeals, and this public hearing is to discuss an updated version of the EOA. The City is using a Minor Text Amendment procedure to adopt the EOA which can be found in the Community Development Code (CDC) Section 12.70.060, and the approval criteria can be found in Section 12.80.164 of the CDC. The CDC may be viewed online at https://www.hillsboro-oregon.gov/depar tments/planning/codes-standards or in the Planning Division office. The staff report, including a draft Order will be available at https://hillsboro-oregon.civicweb.net/Portal/ by Wednesday, May 1. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting in person, or virtually through Zoom (instructions below) and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal.
