CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE CDCA-003-23 Significant Natural Resource Overlay Refinement NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission at or shortly after 6:00 pm, at their regular meeting on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. This meeting will be held in person in Conference Room 113 B/C in the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, AND remotely via Zoom. Instructions on how to join the Zoom virtual meeting are listed at the bottom of this notice. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider proposed text amendments to the Hillsboro Community Development Code (CDC), Ordinance No. 6094, as amended. Requested Amendments: Amendment to sections of the Hillsboro Community development Code, Ordinance No. 60.94, as amended, to clarify and update procedures related to the Significant Natural Resources Overlay (SNRO). These include updating the required permit for particular uses within the SNRO, creating new permit types to track required mitigation and exempted activity, and to ensure standards are clear and objective. The procedures by which a CDC Amendment is processed can be found in Section 12.70.060 Type IV Procedure and Section 12.80.140 Text Amendment. The staff report, including a draft Order will be available at https://hillsboro-oregon.civicweb.net/Portal/ by Wednesday, May 1.
