The U.S Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from the City of Sherwood, Oregon, to complete design and engineering of the Sherwood Employment Area Access Project in Sherwood, Washington County, Oregon. Pur- suant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), EDA is conducting an assessment of the potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or historic properties.
The project will consist of the project development, engineering and design of the new East/West industrial collector road be- tween SW Oregon Street and SW 124th Avenue. The objective of the project is to create specificity and certainty to the road alignment which will facilitate the prompt construction and si- multaneous private development of the Tonquin Employment Area. The project is located south of SW Tualatin-Sherwood between SW Oregon Street and SW 124th Avenue, indicated by the map below.

Comments received in the EDA Regional Office by 5:00 pm Pacific Time on July 31, 2021 will be considered. A copy of the NEPA/NHPA decisional document will be available upon request at the above EDA Regional Office.
